- University of York thành lập năm 1963 và là một thành viên của Russel Group danh tiếng, một trong 24 trường đại học nghiên cứu hàng đầu tại Anh Quốc. Trường tọa lạc tại York, một thị trấn nhỏ xinh ở phía Đông Bắc nước Anh, cách thủ đô London 1h50 phút đi tàu và cách Manchester, Liverpool hơn 1h đi tàu. - Khuôn viên của University of York rộng khoảng 200 ha. Các địa điểm nổi bật trong trường có thể kể đến như Campus West, Công viên Khoa học York và Trung tâm Học tập Khoa học Quốc gia. Khuôn viên trường còn có mặt hồ cùng ghế đá và nhiều cây xanh, tạo nên không gian học tập thoáng đãng, trong lành.
- Trường rất đầu tư cho các cơ sở vật chất phục vụ cho các môn thể thao khác nhau như hồ bơi đạt tiêu chuẩn thi đấu, các sân bóng đá được hỗ trợ thiết bị chiếu sáng, sân vận động ngoài trời có kích thước chuẩn Olympic, đường đua xe đạp, sân vận động điền kinh và 39 mẫu sân cỏ. Bên cạnh đó, thư viện của trường chứa hơn một triệu cuốn sách in, cũng như các tạp chí in và tạp chí điện tử. Sinh viên có thể truy cập vào một số thư viện chuyên ngành trong khuôn viên trường, cũng như ở trung tâm thành phố.
- Khuôn viên trường có rất nhiều địa điểm phục vụ cho nhu cầu ăn uống, sinh hoạt và giải trí của sinh viên như siêu thị, nhà hát và rạp chiếu phim,… Với hơn 250 hội do sinh viên điều hành và hơn 65 câu lạc bộ thể thao, có rất nhiều cơ hội để sinh viên thử sức với những điều mới mẻ.
